'Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev Joins 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower'

'The Vampire Diaries'Nina Dobrevhas joined the cast'The Perks of Being A Wallflower,' taking advantage of her hiatus from the CW show to shoot the '90s-era teen drama in Pittsburgh.

Logan Lerman (D'Artagnan in the upcoming 'Three Musketeers')will staras introvert high school freshman Charlie, who's in mourning after the suicide of his best friend. Dobrev will play his older sister, Candace and 'Harry Potter's Emma Watson co-stars as his friend, Sam.

Stephen Chbosky adapted his 1999 novel 'Wallflower' for the screen and also plans to direct. He also created the TV series 'Jericho,' and wrote the screenplay for the 2005 adaptation of 'Rent.'

Dobrev will next be seen in 'The Killing Games,' as Kellan Lutz's wife. Her other film credits include 'The Roommate' and 'Chloe.'
